Cockroach Control
Cockroaches are undesirable pests which cause havoc if present in the house. They transfer harmful bacteria to the food which causes food poisoning in humans, not only do they contaminate food but even utensils.
Cockroaches survive on water; food and shelter, when these conditions are prevalent cockroaches grow and multiply in number. Hungry cockroaches will eat just about anything be it soaps, paints, food or decaying matter. Having these unwanted tiny creatures crawling all around your house is not a pleasant sight to witness that’s why measures should be taken to control their dwelling in the house. While most people are of the view that cockroaches are found only in old homes, is something which is not true, cockroaches can be found in any residence. That’s why restrictions should be taken to limit their entrance into the house. All small loops and holes should be covered up so that these tiny creatures cannot make an entry into the building. The tiny cracks in the windows and doors should be sealed to ban their entrance. Seal all the potential areas from where these cockroaches can make an entry into the house. Do not leave any food lying uncovered; always make sure to keep it in sealed containers. Do not leave food outside overnight, as this will serve as an invitation to cockroaches. Never abandon utensils unclean over night, make sure to clean them before going to bed. Always keep the place where you place your washed utensils, clean. Keep your house clean and hygienic at all times placing the garbage outside the house. Keep all areas of your house dry at all times and make special efforts to keep your kitchen and dining areas clean at all times.
You can inspect your house of the potential areas were these creatures would be hiding, always remember cockroaches hide just a few feet away from their food source. Most often these are found existing in wood or cardboard. It is essential to seal all these hiding places as soon as possible. Boric acid is an effective chemical which can be used to kill cockroaches in a short time. Add phenyl to water as a powerful disinfectant for swiping the floor. Naphthalene balls should be placed in kitchens and bathrooms as it repels cockroaches. If toxic chemicals like these are applied then care should be taken to keep it out of the reach of pets and children.
